TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 2, 2011) - Stroud Resources Ltd. (News - Market indicators) ("Stroud") is pleased to announce the 2011 exploration program is underway at its' Santo Domingo Silver Project, North of Guadalajara, Mexico. The current Diamond drilling program is designed to significantly increase the NI 43-101 resource reported by the company on January 27, 2010 outlined in the chart below.

The drilling will follow up wide mineralized sections (such as DDH-27, which intersected 97.6 meters of 158.83 g/t silver and 0.49 g/t gold) encountered in the last drilling program. Infill drilling will be carried out in certain sections of the deposit, where previous drill holes were too short to intersect all of the mineralized zones.
A detailed survey of the project, using satellite imagery and on-site control stations, will be carried out over the next few months, which will assist further drill program planning as well as helping to identify potential pit and tailings dump locations prior to in-house pre-production planning.

The drill core sampling program includes onsite supervision of sampling by Stew Fumerton P.Geo, 10% blanks and certified standard reference samples. The drill core is sawed in half, with one half sent for fire assay, and the other half stored in Stroud's secure facility. The samples are subjected to full sample preparation, followed by a 30g fire assay with a gravimetric finish.
George Coburn, P.Geo., President and CEO of Stroud Resources Ltd., is the Qualified Person within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101 for the project, and has prepared, or supervised the preparation of all scientific and technical data contained within this news release, including sampling, analytical, and test data.
