Vulcan Minerals Inc. ? Drilling Update
Vulcan Minerals Inc. (?the Company? TSX-V: VUL) is pleased to announce that the Vulcan ?Investcan Robinson?s #1 well, onshore western Newfoundland, is currently drilling ahead at 3110 metres. The well is a frontier wildcat well designed to test a seismically defined structure in the Carboniferous aged Bay St George basin. It is being drilled pursuant to a 50/50 joint venture with Investcan Energy Corporation. The well has a projected total depth of 3600 metres.
As well, the Company reports that the second proposed drill location, Red Brook #2, has been constructed. The drilling program is currently being finalized. Red Brook #2 is situated approximately 10 kilometres west of Robinsons #1 and has a projected total depth of 2200 metres. The objective of the current drill program is to test a variety of play types within the basin.
