|
Traders are looking for Duke Energy to continue rebounding for the next month.
optionMONSTER's Heat Seeker system shows that 2,500 December 72.50 calls were purchased for $0.29 and 2,500 December 65 puts were sold for $0.31 and $0.32 on Friday.
This combination trade is highly bullish because a rally would boost the price of the long calls while decreasing the value of the puts that were sold . But the opposite will occur if the stock drops, and the trader will be on the hook to buy shares if they fall below $ by expiration in . (See our Coaching section)
DUK rose 0.89 percent to $69.10 on Friday but is down 18 percent on the year. The utility company gapped down from above $71 on Nov. 6 after earnings and revenues missed expectations, but shares bounced at the $66 level last week.
With Friday's combination trade, total option volume in Duke was triple its daily average for the last month.
