Earn-In Partner ATW Recommencing Drilling On Marifil's Amarillo Property

Spokane, WA -- September 18, 2007: MARIFIL MINES LTD. (MFM: TSX-V) ("Marifil" or "the Company") announces that its partner, ATW Venture Corp (TSX-V: ATW / Frankfurt: A3N) is preparing to re-start the drill program on Marifil's Amarillo gold-copper project in San Juan province, Argentina. The original eight core-hole program of 2,600 meters began during April 2007 and closed in May due to early winter snow.

According to ATW, the two holes that were successfully completed to target depth "were drilled in the Proposa area and appear to have been drilled under the porphyry target. Results returned encouraging copper gold ratios. Subsequent drilling is planned at a more optimum orientation to target this mineralization. The highest priority target, Esperanza, is located at the southern end (higher elevation) of the property and has yet to be drill tested. The upcoming program will drill Esperanza and two other copper-gold anomalies nearby.

ATW is currently obtaining the necessary permits for this drilling and organizing the logistics for this program and anticipates beginning in October.

ATW has the right to earn up to a 70% interest in the "Amarillo" gold-copper-silver project is located in San Juan Province of Argentina, from (Marifil.) The project is located within the Valedero-El Indio gold belt, in the Andes. This belt is fast becoming an attractive area for major mining companies exploring for world class gold deposits. The belt already hosts several major discoveries including Barrick's two deposits lying to the north of Amarillo, Valadero (12.6 Million ounce gold reserve) and Pascua Llama (18.3 Million ounces of gold reserve) as well as the very high grade El Indio copper gold mine. A 43-101 compliant technical report has been completed on the Amarillo project and filed on SEDAR."
