Toronto, Ontario
 Noront Resources Ltd. (Noront)
has finally received all of the assay results and report on 5 diamond drill
holes completed on the Companys optioned El Verde zinc, copper, silver
project located approximately 26
km north-northwest of the town of Choix
in Sinaloa State, Mexico (see press release dated November 23, 2006).
Diamond Drilling Assays
Results
The mineralized section in
each drill hole was sampled and assayed with the significant results above ..10% in copper and zinc listed below.
DDH EL-07- 01
This hole was
designed to intersect the mineralized zone at right angles and to confirm the
results of a government drill program completed in the early 1970s. After
checking for the core and searching the Mexican core storage facilities in Durango no core from the
previous program was found.

Review of this Technical Data
Has Indicated that although the mineralized zones intersected to-date are not
of economic grades the widths of both the copper and zinc zones are impressive.
This along with the bedded style of the mineralization within
the limestone unit make the area to the south of the drilled zone a
favorable prospecting target. The area to the south exhibits similar rock types
and showings of zinc and copper along the eastern flank of a
N-S range of hills. Numerous high grade floats are visible in the valley bottom
having rolled down the dip slope of the mineralized zones found during the
Phase I mapping and prospecting program.
It has been recommended this area be thoroughly prospected, mapped,
trenched and sampled where needed. If this Phase proves to be successful a road
can be constructed to the south of the area drilled in early 2007 and a drill
program laid out to test the mineralized zones. The Company is considering these
recommendations.
Assay samples were taken from
(NQ size) drill core, split in half with one half being prepared in ALS Chemex Lab in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico
and then forwarded to ALS Chemex Lab offices in Vancouver for assay. The remaining half core is stored in a
secure location for future reference or further testing.
