Friends,
TUMI has made a
strategic alliance with General Minerals (GMC) to explore the combined Betamote
and Canasta Dorada Gold Projects. The Joint Venture will infuse the project area
with exploration cash as GMC makes the now greatly expanded Canasta Dorada into
the flagship property for its anticipated spin off gold-copper company that
will focus on that companys operations in Mexico and the USA. (GMC recently had a successful IPO spin off of its South American Property
interests.) Both TUMI and GMC believe that a much greater chance of major
success will come from combining the two original properties into one large
play. Certainly the area itself shows great promise and deserving of this focused
attention. The Sonora Gold Belt includes deposits and occurrences such as Mesquite
and Picacho in the Yuma area of Arizona and southeastern California, and La
Choya, La Herradura and Chanate in the Caborca region of northwest Sonora,
Mexico. The JV will build on the work GMC has done in the project area where
they have already found promising gold mineralization.

Nick L. Nicolaas
