Mesa Uranium Expands Land Holdings, Forms WellProbe Geophysical
With New Horizon Uranium
======================================================================
Mesa Uranium Corp. (TSX-V: MZU) ("Mesa") is pleased to announce that it has staked
59 claims totaling 1,180 acres in the Lisbon Valley Mining District of
Southeastern Utah. The area is known as Middle Mesa and is along trend
from our recent discovery holes L-15 and L-17. As previously reported
(news release dated 9/10/2007) L-15 intercepted 17.5 feet grading 0.11%
U3O8 (2.2 pounds/ton) including three strongly mineralized zones:
.. 3.5 feet of 0.28% U3O8 (5.6 pounds/ton);
.. 1.0 foot of 0.16% U3O8 (3.2 pounds/ton); and
.. 1.5 feet of 0.13% U3O8 (2.6 pounds/ton).
L-17 was drilled 1,200 feet to the southeast of L-15 and intercepted 15
feet grading 0.02% U3O8. The mineralization in both holes occurs at
the basal Chinle contact, a horizon that hosted the 85 million pounds
of U3O8 produced in the District.
Drill holes L-15 and L-17 reinforce Mesa's concept that a symmetrical
belt mirroring the Lisbon Valley District exists on the Southeastern
side of Lisbon Valley. Mesa has 100% ownership of 32 square miles of
uranium exploration land in the District.
New Horizon Uranium Venture
Mesa and New Horizon Uranium Corp. have entered into a 50-50 venture
creating WellProbe Geophysical Logging LLC, a drill hole logging
company. WellProbe Geophysical will be used by both companies to
provide uranium logging (down-hole gamma), SP/resistivity, Induction
logging, and drill hole surveys as part of each company's uranium
drilling activities in the western United States. The outlay for each
company was $75,000.00 for the purchase of the logging truck and
associated geophysical equipment. The WellProbe Geophysical venture
will save Mesa time and money by eliminating mobilization and standby
costs during our drilling operations. The truck will be rented out to
other exploration companies when not being used by Mesa or New Horizon.
About New Horizon Uranium
New Horizon's projects include the Converse and Sand Creek joint
ventures in Converse County, Wyoming and the Summit project in San
Miguel County, Colorado. For additional information please refer to
