MPH Ventures
Exploration Update on Northeastern Ontario
Gold Projects
Vancouver, BC MPH Ventures Corp. (TSX-V:
MPS) (FWB: IJA1) (the Company) provides an exploration
update for three of it’s 100% owned gold properties, Raney, Geneva Lake
and the Big Mac Projects situated in Northeastern
Ontario.
An
ongoing exploration program at the Raney Gold Project has focused on tracing
a gold bearing structure intersected in seven drill holes along a 100 metre
long trend. Assay results are pending for three recently completed
holes. Mechanical trenching has exposed the structure westward for 100
metres of strike extent from the current area of drilling. The trenches
host alteration with discrete quartz veins ranging between 0.10 metres to 2.5
metres in width. The veins have been sampled with a series of channel
saw cuts along the 100 metre long trend. The structure has now been
traced with the combination of diamond drilling and surface trenching along a
200 metre strike distance.

The
Big Mac Project, located 60 km northeast of Sudbury,
Ontario, hosts an historical
showing reported to contain coarse leaf gold. A sampling program in
1998 reported assay results up to 23 g/t Au from a weakly mineralized quartz
vein, and four samples of the host volcanics which
assayed between 4.8 g/t Au and 16.7 g/t Au. MPH exploration crews have
relocated the showing which consists of three heavily overgrown trenches. An
initial sampling program of the vein and surrounding volcanics
has been completed. Assay results are pending.

The
Geneva Lake Project, located 40 km north of Sudbury,
is situated in an area which has seen relatively little gold
exploration. Massive sulphide clasts within a
conglomerate unit were reported to contain up to 6.8 g/t Au. The gold
content of the clasts combined with the host rocks
suggests potential for a larger scale exploration target. The company
has located a number of sulphide clasts and
collected samples in order to confirm the gold content.
