      Field Assessment of Nickel Targets on Diamonds North's Amaruk
      Property

VANCOUVER, Aug 12, 2011 -- Diamonds North Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: DDN)
reports that Minerals and Metals Group (MMG) has informed the Company
that they have mobilized a field crew to conduct lake-bottom sediment
sampling to follow-up on preliminary EM anomalies identified from the
survey recently completed on the Amaruk nickel project in Nunavut (see
news release July 14, 2010).  To view a presentation on the nickel

MMG is project operator and is fully funding the nickel exploration
program at Amaruk.  Nickel potential of the property is demonstrated by
a drill hole that intersected 2.49% nickel over 9 metres within a 35
metre zone assaying 1% nickel (See news release May 22, 2008). 
 
Bruce Kienlen (P. Geol) and Graham Gill (P. Geo) will review the base
metal data from this project for Diamonds North.
