	Vancouver, BC, August 1, 2007: Serengeti Resources Inc. (TSX-V: SIR) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a joint venture (50%-50%) with Fjordland Exploration Inc. (TSX-V:FEX) to explore a 45,000 square kilometer area in central British Columbia for precious and base metals. The QUEST project consists of eleven properties totaling in excess of 95,000 hectares, where both companies have agreed to pool their respective properties (see property location map attached). The QUEST JV project lies within the highly endowed and prospective Quesnel Terrane, extending from near the BC/USA border in the south and continuing northwesterly to the Galore Creek copper-gold deposits where NovaGold Resources Inc. and Teck Cominco Limited have commenced mine construction. Other significant mines and projects hosted in Quesnel Terrane rocks and its extensions include Kemess, Similco (Copper Mountain), New Afton, Mount Polley, Mt. Milligan and Lorraine. In late 2006, Serengeti discovered the significant Kwanika copper-gold prospect, in part as a result of follow-up drilling of an airborne geophysical survey that identified several previously unexplored targets. The QUEST JV area includes much of the region identified by Geoscience BC, through its Quesnellia Exploration Strategy (QUEST) project, in central British Columbia between Williams Lake and MacKenzie-Fort St. James. During 2007, Geoscience BC is planning regional airborne EM and gravity geophysical and ground geochemical surveys, at a cost of $5 million; results will be released in mid-2008. Much of the region is covered by glacial overburden, which historically has challenged conventional exploration. As such, this region represents one of the last remaining frontier (i.e. under-explored) areas for the exploration and discovery of porphyry copper-gold deposits in the province. In anticipation of the Geoscience BC program, several exploration companies have recently acquired mineral claims in the target area. Since late June, more than 400,000 hectares of new lands have been registered, creating a noticeable staking rush. Because of the lack of rock exposure or other exploration databases, much of this recent staking resulted from companies targeting aeromagnetic anomalies identified from a very wide-spaced regional airborne geophysical survey of the area conducted in the mid-1960s by the federal government. Known landholders in the region include Xstrata PLC (formerly Falconbridge), NovaGold Resources Inc., Rimfire Minerals Corp., Geoinformatics Exploration, Decoors Mining and Peak Geological. Serengeti and Fjordland plan to conduct an initial airborne magnetometer survey, with flight lines spaced at 250 m intervals, over most of their claims within the QUEST JV area. The companies will use the data to interpret the possible locations of buried intrusive bodies, as well as structures that may have localized the targeted porphyry copper-gold deposits.
