RAPID CITY, S.D. - June 23, 2016 - Alongside national brands like L.L. Bean and Yelp!, Forbes named Black Hills Corp. to its America's Best Midsize Employers 2016 list. The list is a subset of its 'America's Best Employers of 2016.'
Forbes chose the top 250 midsize companies (1,000-5,000 employees) based on an independent survey of 30,000 American employees working for midsize to large firms and institutions.
Forbes partnered with statistics portal Statista to conduct the survey, which was designed to determine which companies make their employees feel secure, understood, needed and inspired. The most heavily weighted question in the survey asked how likely employees would be to recommend their employer to a friend or family member.
'We have put a lot of effort into being a great workplace for our employees,' said Bob Myers, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer at Black Hills. 'Being named to this prestigious list, on the strength of our employees' feedback, suggests we are making great progress toward this key strategic objective.'
