TRI ORIGIN FORMS ALLIANCE WITH MAJOR MINING COMPANY

Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. (the ?Company? or ?Tri Origin?) (TOE: TSX-V) is pleased to announce that it has signed an alliance agreement with a major Australian mining company, OZ Minerals (?OZ?).

OZ was recently formed through the merger of Zinifex Limited and Oxiana Limited, both of Australia. The merged company will be a leading, diversified, global, mining company and currently the third largest diversified mining company in Australia. OZ also owns the Izok Lake, High Lake, Lupin, Ulu and associated deposits in Nunavut, Canada.

Tri Origin?s alliance with OZ (the ?Alliance?) will draw on the Company?s vast exploration experience in Canada. This Alliance will specifically focus on the exploration and potential development of base metal targets (known as volcanogenic massive sulphide or VMS) identified by Tri Origin, in the Canadian Shield of Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba.

The Alliance will require that OZ contribute an annual amount to Tri Origin to fund the initial costs incurred to identify prospects. OZ will also fund the exploration phase of projects identified by the Company, and accepted by the Alliance for further work, to a maximum of $750,000 per year. After sufficient expenditure, and assuming the Alliance elects to further advance a project governed by the Alliance, a specific project joint venture between Tri Origin and OZ may be formed to allow for development.
