TORONTO (AP) _ Franco-Nevada Corp. (FNV) on Wednesday reported first-quarter profit of $19.2 million.
The Toronto-based company said it had net income of 12 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 15 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 17 cents per share.
The precious metals streaming and royalty company posted revenue of $109.2 million in the period.
Franco-Nevada shares have risen slightly more than 7 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $52.85, a climb of 6.5 percent in the last 12 months.
