In compliance with paragraphs 3.63 to 3.74 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited ('the
Listings Requirements') we hereby advise that Mr PA Schmidt, a director of Gold Fields Limited
sold some or all of his Bonus Shares ('BS') which were awarded in terms of the Gold Fields
Limited 2012 Share Plan as amended.

Bonus Shares are linked to the annual bonus whereby the equivalent of two-thirds of the cash
