COEUR D`ALENE, Idaho (AP) _ Hecla Mining Co. (HL) on Wednesday reported third-quarter earnings of $3.7 million.
The Coeur d`Alene, Idaho-based company said it had profit of 1 cent per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 1 cent per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was breakeven on a per-share basis.
The precious metals company posted revenue of $135.5 million in the period, which topped Street forecasts. Analysts expected $129.4 million, according to Zacks.
The company's shares closed at $2.27. A year ago, they were trading at $3.14.
