Just a quick note to let you know about the latest news release: Cooper Intersects Coal in Exploratory Adits at Kotli AJK Coal Project, Pakistan

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, March 2, 2012 � Cooper Minerals Inc. (�Cooper� or the �Company� - TSX-Venture: CQ, FRANKFURT: JM6) is pleased to announce that it has intersected coal seams in both the exploratory adits driven on the Kotli Coal Project, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan. Exploratory adit No.1, driven in a northeast direction, at an apparent dip of about 5 degrees, intercepted a 2.5 ft (0.75 metres) thick coal seam approximately 950 ft (290 metres) from the start of the adit. Exploratory adit No.2, parallel to Adit No 1, but 70 ft (21.3 metres) below hit intercepted a 2 ft (0.6 metres) thick coal seam about 380 ft (115 metres) from the start of the adit. Both the adits are being extended further to evaluate the potential for more coal seams. Coal is being extracted and stockpiled during excavation. A bulk coal sample will be shipped to the local cement plants to verify its quality and market value.

The exploration work commenced in September 2011 (see September 14, 2011 news release) is comprised of geological and topographic mapping, surveying the historical underground mine workings and driving exploratory adits based on the available geological data. Access roads to the property have been improved and re-graded, an onsite camp has been established, and exploration related equipment has been mobilized to the site.

All the exploration work is being carried out by a team of experienced geologists and mining engineers under the supervision of Mr. Muhammad Khalid Pervaiz, a mining engineer by and project manager for Cooper. Mr. Pervaiz is also current president of The Institute of Mining Engineers in Pakistan.

Technical information in this news release has been prepared and/or revised by Mike Magrum, P.Eng., Qualified Person as defined in NI 43-101 for Cooper.
