PBX Identifies New Drill Targets at Sierra Pintada IOCG Property, Chile
June 7, 2011
International PBX Ventures Ltd. (the Company) today announced the results of a ZTEM Airborne Geophysical Survey ("the Survey") recently completed over the Companys %100 owned Sierra Pintada (SP) copper gold property located in Chile. The survey has identified several new drill targets over the 15km length of the property.
This survey was the second of an extensive four property airborne geophysical survey program (Copaquire, Sierra Pintada, Tierra de Oro, Palo Negro/Hornitos). The results of the Copaquire ZTEM survey were announced in a Feb. 10, 2011 news release and the results for the remaining two properties will be announced shortly.
The 4,970 Ha Sierra Pintada property covers a 15 km strike-length of the several hundred kilometer long Atacama Fault system reported to have numerous centers of past high grade copper, gold, silver and cobalt mining including the Carrizal Alto District which produced approximately 1.5 million ounces of gold and 450 thousand tonnes of copper. The property covers the structural contact between late Paleozoic meta-volcanic and meta-sedimentary rocks of the Coastal Metamorphic Complex to the west and the late Cretaceous diorites and granodiorites of the Franja Central to the east.
On the SP property, the structural contact is characterized by a SW-NE trending up to 2.0km wide structural fault zone with numerous small shallow historic and present day copper-gold workings by small-scale artisanal miners exploiting high grade Cu-Au+Ag rich vein systems to depths of up to 50 m. These relatively shallow workings are thought to be exploiting near surface expressions of larger and deeper seated Cu-Au rich porphyry systems.
A 2007 3D IP/Resistivity survey carried out over two areas of the property, t he South Block (Totora Zone) and North Block (Gloria, Via, and Futura Zones), where high grade copper-gold veins have been mined determined that high grade mineralization coincides with IP chargeability anomalies and is sourced at depth.
Geotech Ltd., Airborne Geophysical Surveys of Aurora, Ontario, was commissioned, in January 2011, to conduct the ZTEM Survey across the entire property in order to map lithological variations and identify structural trends that may relate to observed mineralization in areas that had not been previously explored.
The ZTEM system was developed in 2007 and has become one of the leading airborne geophysical systems in use today and is particularly suited to identifying large conductive ore bodies. The ZTEM system is renowned for its deep penetration, high spatial resolution and ability to detect and differentiate weak electro-magnetic anomalies at depths up to 1,500 metres.

The ZTEM survey has successfully mapped the Sierra Pintada portion of the Atacama Fault system which is a structural trend where world-class deposits, such as Candelaria (IOCG), are located.
The fault system is mapped by two parallel major SW-NE trending anomalous ZTEM conductors running the entire 15km length of the property. The Survey interpretation indicates the North and South Block mineralized structures discovered to date are part of a major SW-NE strike-slip fault system that averages 2km in width and is at least 15km long. The conductors link both mineralized North and South blocks beneath overburden in the center of the property and doubles the total exploration area where high grade mineralization is likely to be found.
Previous rock chip sampling in the north block returned assay results up to 4.7% copper and 4.7g/t gold in the North block (Vina & Gloria zones) and up to 4.0% copper and 7.9 g/t gold in the South block (Totora zone).
Discrete magnetic anomalies have also been found coinciding with the IP anomalies in the North and South blocks. Those anomalies are also located within the conductive trend representing first priority drill targets.
By utilizing the latest in leading edge technology we have shown that the major controlling structure for mineralization is much larger than originally thought and is continuous through the entire property" said George Sookochoff, President & CEO of International PBX Ventures Ltd. "The ZTEM survey has significantly increased the exploration area on the Sierra Pintada copper-gold property and identified several additional priority drill targets. I am very pleased with the fact that the Sierra Pintada is becoming significant copper-gold project within the prolific IOCG belt of Chile."

About International PBX Ventures Inc .
International PBX Ventures Inc. is a junior exploration Company with a strong portfolio of copper, molybdenum and gold projects in Chile. Along with the six 100% owned IOCG projects the Copaquire copper molybdenum property is the Companys flagship project and is located in Chiles prolific copper porphyry belt. This arc-parallel belt includes 30 porphyry Cu-Mo deposits and prospects with the largest amount of copper concentration in the world, totalling about 220 million tonnes of copper. The project is also located in the Collahuasi copper endowment and within 15kms of two large operating mines: Collahuasi (the third largest copper mine in the world) and Quebrada Blanca.
