Open Range Energy Corp. Increases Bought Deal Financing to $22.9 Million

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - March 14, 2008) -

Open Range Energy Corp. ("Open Range" or the "Company") (TSX:ONR) is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with a syndicate of underwriters led by Cormark Securities Inc. in respected of its bought deal financing announced March 13, 2008 to increase the total size of the offering to $22,900,260. Under the agreement the syndicate will now purchase for resale to the public 2,595,300 common shares ("Common Shares") at an issue price of $4.20 per Common Share and 2,400,000 common shares issued on a "flow through" basis ("Flow-Through Common Shares") at an issue price of $5.00 per Flow-Through Common Share. In addition, the Company has agreed to grant the underwriters an option (the "Over-Allotment Option") to purchase an additional 500,000 Common Shares at the issue price at anytime up until 5:00 pm (Calgary Time) on the date which is 30 days after the Closing Date.
The Offering is scheduled to close on or about April 4, 2008 and is subject to certain conditions including, but not limited to, the receipt of all necessary approvals, including the approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Proceeds from the sale of the Common Shares will be used to fund Open Range's exploration and development program while proceeds from the sale of the Flow-Through Common Shares will be used to fund ongoing exploration activities eligible for Canadian exploration expenses. Qualifying expenditures will be renounced in favour of the subscribers of the Flow-Through Common Shares effective on or before December 31, 2008.
