Goldex Resources Increases Land Position
In Mexican Gold And Silver Belt
Vancouver, BC, January 17, 2008 - Goldex (TSX-V: GDX) increases land position in Mexican gold belt. Goldex
Resources has increased its land position in the highly mineralized Central
Plateau Gold and Silver Belt of Durango State in Mexico.
Arco II, is located near the the historic silver,
lead and zinc district of Tejamen in Durango State and counts among its many
notable neighbours the Penoles La Cienga mine which in 2005 produced 1600 t/d
at 7.58 g/Au, 112 g/t Ag and 3.66% Pb/Zn. Arco II is contiguous to the
property which the company optioned at the beginning of 2007 and brings the
total area under exploration up from 463 to 3,381 hectares. This
is an exciting development for Goldex Resources because it dramatically
increases the company's ability to control its exploration and development
activities in the area.
Goldex anticipates flying the property to generate a
topographic base map and aerial orthophotos before spring, and then
conducting a program of sampling and surface geology mapping from which the
Company geologists believe they will be able to quickly identify drill
targets.
Goldex Resources Corporation is a junior gold mining
company exploring for gold in the Americas. Goldex's strategically-focused
operations highlight prestigious properties, a world-class geology team and a
global investment following.
