LA PRAIRIE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 28, 2011) - The management of Vantex Resources Ltd. (News - Market indicators) is pleased to announce a drilling intersection of 24.9 g/t Au ( 0.80 ounces of gold ) over 5.3 metres, along the hole, in drill hole VPE11-24, located on the Moriss zone. Since there was visible gold on the core, the company mandated Laboratoire Expert to proceed with the rush assay of these samples. These first assays, representing a small sample of the results to come, show a nice in-depth continuity for the Moriss zone.
Drill hole VPE11-24 was done on the same section as drill hole VPE10-13. More than 3,000 metres of drilling are currently underway in this area. As of now, 6 drill holes were completed for a total of 1,300 metres.
Drill hole VPE10-19 that was extended by 150 metres, intersected another altered zone containing sulfides between 285 and 305 metres in-depth. The Moriss zone was also intersected in drill hole VPE11-29. This hole was done on a length of 150 metres and is located on the same section that VPE10-02, the original discovery drill hole. Drill holes VPE11-25 and VPE11-26 also intersected many mineralized zones including the Moriss zone. Drill holes VPE11-27 and VPE11-28 are located 75 metres east of VPE10-02. Important mineralized structures were also intersected in these holes.
« The evidence is mounting that we are in the presence of a major gold sector. Along with the presence of the Galloway and Hendrick showings, this sector of the Galloway property holds great potential for gold in a relatively confined area which makes it easy to access. Our drilling consistently reveal the presence of mineralized structures that generally correspond to the gold sections previously intersected. We are very confident to define a significant gold resource in this area » commented Mr. Guy Morissette, CEO of Vantex.
The Moriss showing that was discovered in the Fall of 2010, comprises many drill defined gold structures and is located 500 metres West of the GP showing. One of the goals of the current drilling programs is to connect these two showings and in a future campaign, to connect the Hendrick and the GP zone.
The 3000-meter drilling program continues as planned. All samples were tagged, bagged and shipped to Laboratoire Expert Inc., Rouyn-Noranda, where 30-gram pulp samples are prepared and assayed for gold (FAA). New gravimetric analysis (FA) are performed on all the samples with levels higher than 1.0 g/t Au. A strict QA/QC program including random insertion of blanks, standards and duplicate samples has been followed throughout the sample preparation. The NQ-size core is logged, sampled and split in two at the company's core shack in Rouyn-Noranda. The currents works are supervised by Mr. Daniel Kelly, independent geologist and Qualified Person under NI 43-101 guidelines.
