LA MANCHAS ITY MINE CONTINUES OPERATIONS
Paris,
France - December 8, 2010 - La Mancha Resources Inc. (TSX: LMA,
hereinafter La Mancha or the Company) reports that the situation in the Zouan Hounien region in
western Cte dIvoire has remained calm since the start of the election
process therefore allowing the continuation of the Ity
mine operations. As of December 8th, mining and milling activities were
ongoing although business hours were affected by the curfew imposed last
Saturday. The limited road circulation in the country remains the main
risk to Itys operations as most of the
consumables used on site are transported from Abidjan by truck. Although
more difficult than usual, a gasoil delivery was successfully completed
yesterday evening and more are scheduled. All exploration work in the country has been suspended until further notice.
Dominique
Delorme, President and CEO of La Mancha noted: In this difficult period
for Cte dIvoire, La Manchas first priority is to guarantee the safety
of its employees and their family. Our decision to maintain the Ity mine in operation reflects the current stable
situation in the Zouan Hounien
area. We will however continue to closely monitor the situation."
La Mancha
expects to reach a total production of approximately 130,000 ounces of
gold in 2010, 15% of which is produced at the Ity
mine.
