Centerra Gold Kumtor Mine Ball Mill Returns to Operation
TORONTO, ONTARIO -- April 7, 2008 - Centerra Gold Inc. (TSX: CG) reported today that the ball mill at the Kumtor mine has restarted and has returned to normal operation. The ball mill restart occurred earlier than expected due to the successful replacement of the ball mill shell ahead of schedule. The mill is achieving its anticipated throughput and the Company's 2008 guidance on gold production and cash costs at Kumtor will not be affected by the ball mill ring gear repair and shell replacement.
