MacLellan Zone Continues to Reward at Depth

Toronto, ON - April 29, 2008 - Carlisle Goldfields Limited, (TSX: CGJ) (the "Company") has received assay results from Diamond drilling completed during the 2008 phase II winter drilling program in the MacLellan Mine area, Lynn Lake, Manitoba. The drilling program is ongoing as part of the Company's plan to drill up to 10,000 metres of NQ size core by mid-year 2008 with 11 of the planned 20 drill holes having been completed.

Drillhole MG08-1 was completed, at -60 degrees, to a final length of 350 metres, and Drillhole MG08-3 was completed, at -66 degrees, to a final length of 452 metres.   These holes were targeted to intersect the Nisku Zone deeper than previous drilling.  Gold mineralization at Nisku occurs within Metasediments, associated with irregular sulphide concentrations, and cherty quartz vein zones.   These zones are commonly quite narrow but can have high grades over those widths.  There are six major zones and a number of lesser zones at Nisku, they strike about 065 and dip about 70o north. 

Drillhole MG08-5 was completed, at -60 degrees, to a final length of 245 metres, and was testing for a zone south of Nisku seen in previous drilling.  No significant gold values were returned.

The sulphide zones contain appreciable silver values as demonstrated in the table below.  This gold-silver correlation has been observed in analysis of the previous sampling programs and production records show the recovery of significant silver values.

The Company expects additional results from the ongoing program in the near future. Additional assays from the mineralized area are pending for other holes. 

Drill core is logged, and saw split, on site. One half of the NQ diameter core is shipped to TSL Laboratories, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, "an ISO 9001:2000" accredited laboratory, for analysis. TSL protocols include fire assay for Au and Ag with an ICP finish on a crushed and pulverized sub-sample. The MDL and upper detection limits (UDL) for Au are 5 - 1000 ppb under this protocol, and 0.2 - 50 ppb for Ag. Above the UDL a gravimetric method is used for determination on high concentrations. 

A quality control program has been implemented to ensure best practices in the sampling and analysis of the drill core. Certified control standards, and coarse field blanks were inserted into the sample stream. A program of analysis of duplicate samples will be undertaken. Mr. Stephen Mlot, P. Eng., the President of the Company, is the qualified person.
