Royal Standard Minerals Inc. Announces Management Changes

HEATHSVILLE, VIRGINIA--(MARKET WIRE)--Mar 6, 2009 -- In furtherance of the desire to improve upon its corporate governance and management functions, Royal Standard Minerals Inc. ("RSM" or the "Company")(CDNX:RSM.V - News)(OTC BB:RYSMF.OB - News) is pleased to announce that Mr. J. Allan Ringler, who was appointed as a director effective March 3, 2009, has been appointed as the Company's Chief Financial Officer. The Company also announces that Mr. George Duguay has been appointed to serve as Corporate Secretary. These appointments are effective as of March 5, 2009.

 

As previously disclosed, the Company's shares have been suspended from trading on the TSX Venture Exchange ("TSXV") as a result of the Company's failure to comply with TSXV requirements in a timely manner. With the aforementioned changes taking place to the Company's management, it is RSM's intention to respond to the TSXV's requirements and to try to have the suspension lifted as soon as possible; however, there can be no assurance that the Company's efforts will result in the suspension being lifted by the TSXV.
