The rally in Japan continued overnight despite the rest of the worldwide markets being lacklustre. This comes despite data and government forecasts pointing towards Japan being close to recession (again...) Hong Kong and Australia were more or less flat at the close, and Europe subsequently opened slightly weaker. Ahead of the data, this is translating into weaker equity futures and slightly lower bond yields. There doesn't appear to be a lot of action in the currency markets this morning, although the Euros are slightly weaker.
