More High Grade Copper from Arizona: Bell cuts 66 meters of 1.45% and 14 meters of 2.9% Cu at Sombrero Butte
Thursday, May 24, 2007

Vancouver, British Columbia: Bell Resources Corporation (the "Company" or "Bell") is pleased to report further drill assays from the ongoing drill program at the Company's Sombrero Butte project in Pinal County, Arizona.

The intent of the drilling program at Sombrero Butte is to test nearly twenty exposed breccia pipes which are present across the 260 hectare property. It is conceivable that the breccias reflect the footprint of an underlying porphyry copper system. With these reported assays, the Company has now intersected five of these breccia pipes covering about 3 hectares of the property.

Highlights:

  • Drill Hole SB-14 intersected 66 meters of 1.45% Cu including 12 meters of 2.33% Cu.

  • Drill Hole SB-12 intersected 14 meters of 2.9% Cu

  • Drilling continues to add high grade copper oxide mineralization at shallow depth in breccias at Sombrero Butte.
The following new copper intersections were obtained from drill holes SB-09 thru SB-14, which cut the Rattler and Audacious breccia pipes. These new intersections continue to demonstrate high grade copper oxide mineralization at shallow depth in many of the breccia pipes at Sombrero Butte.

BRECCIA TARGET DRILLHOLE INCLINATION FROM TO METERS % CU
Rattler SB-09 80 96 110 14 0.83%
Rattler SB-10 85 no significant intercepts,
leached breccia
Rattler SB-11 90 312 342 30 0.37%
Audacious SB-12 90 12 26 14 2.90%
Audacious SB-13 85 22 24 2 5.85%
Audacious SB-14 80 20 86 66 1.45%
Audacious SB-14 including 34 46 12 2.33%

Assay results from drill holes SB-15 through SB-19, which tested the Audacious and Sunset breccias, are pending.

Drilling is currently underway on 2 new targets, the Saguaro and Victors breccias. Both are located approximately 400 meters northeast of the Rattler and Audacious breccias. Both of the currently targeted breccias show mineralization at the surface ranging from chrysocolla in the Saguaro breccia to high grade chalcopyrite-bornite in the Victors breccia.

The Rattler breccia was tested in holes SB-09, SB-10, and SB-11, which all collared from a drill pad 30 meters to the west of the previous Sunset breccia drill pad. SB-09 was drilled southerly at a vertical inclination of 80?, cutting 95 meters of hematitic leached breccia and a perched supergene enriched zone that contains chrysocolla and conichalcite. Drill hole SB-10 was drilled northerly 85?, cutting 32 meters of hematitic breccia before hitting old underground workings at a depth of 109 meters. SB-11 was drilled at 90? between the collars of SB-09 and SB-10. SB-11 encountered 330 m of hematitic breccia containing weak amounts of chrysocolla on fractures, but did not reach the deeper sulfide mineralization before exiting the pipe. None of the drilling of the Rattler breccia has yet tested the deeper sulfide-bearing roots of this system.

The Audacious breccia was tested by drill holes SB-12 through SB-14. All 3 drill holes were collared from the same drill pad, located 75 meters to the northeast of the previous Rattler breccia drill pad. The upper copper oxide zone of the breccia was drilled in all 3 holes, accounting for all the high grade results reported in the above table. The oxide zone carries strong amounts of chrysocolla-conichalcite ± azurite in variably sericitically to potassically altered breccia. SB-12 was drilled vertically alongside an open shaft in breccia. This drill hole cut 14 meters of strong chrysocolla and conichalcite. The hole was terminated when it hit underground workings at a depth of 47 meters. SB-13 was drilled southwesterly at a vertical inclination of 85?, cutting 75 meters of sericitically-altered breccia with short intervals of chrysocolla and conichalcite. SB-13 encountered underground workings at 11 meters and again at 47 meters. SB-14 was drilled northeasterly at a vertical inclination of 80?. Moderate to strong chrysocolla and conichalcite mineralization were cut within an 85-meter interval of breccia. Drilling has not yet tested the deeper sulfide-bearing roots of the Audacious breccia.

Sampling was conducted under the direct supervision of Amy Eichenlaub, B.Sc., Project Geologist. Samples are kept in a locked container and are delivered in person to the laboratory by Ms. Eichenlaub. Control samples, including field blanks, copper standards, and duplicate splits of core were inserted into the sample stream at an average of one control sample per seven unknowns.

For the purposes of this news release, the Company's Vice President of Exploration, Timothy Marsh, P.E., PhD, is the Qualified Person.

Sombrero Butte Project

The Sombrero Butte Project is located in Pinal County, Arizona. The project represents the first consolidation of these claims since they were mined back in 1920. The Sombrero Butte Project constitutes a significant opportunity to quickly delineate high grade copper breccia resources. A transition with depth from the high grade breccia environment to a larger tonnage porphyry copper system is also expected at Sombrero Butte.

Bell Resources is focused on the exploration and development of a diversified portfolio of North American base metal projects with the most advanced being the past producing Granduc Mine. All projects will be advanced along a path toward potential production enabling Bell Resources to make the transition from explorer to producer.
