Dear Shareholder/Investor,
Orbis Gold Limited (ASX:OBS) is pleased to announce that it has received very encouraging results from a metallurgical test program on samples from the Natougou gold deposit, south-east Burkina Faso.
The test results indicate total gold recoveries (for primary gold mineralisation) from 89.1% to 95.5% across a range of grind sizes (from 106 microns to 53 microns) and a range of cyanide concentrations (from 350ppm NaCN to 1,000ppm NaCN).
The initial test results indicate that Natougou mineralisation is non-refractory and it is anticipated to be amenable to a conventional carbon in leach (CIL) process circuit.
The positive test results will be incorporated into the Natougou development Scoping Study currently in progress.
Highlights:
? Positive metallurgical test results received for Natougou gold deposit - Natougou mineralisation amenable to a conventional carbon-in-leach (CIL) process route.
? Total gold recoveries of 94.2% achieved for primary gold mineralisation (grind size of 80% passing 75 microns, 350ppm NaCN).
? Reagent consumptions within the normal range for a CIL circuit - lime (0.33kg/t) and cyanide (0.28kg/t) (grind size of 80% passing 75 microns, 350ppm NaCN).
? Comminution characteristics - Bond ball mill work index = 19.6 to 20.8 kWh/t, Bond abrasiveness index = 0.19.
? Positive metallurgical test results to be included in development Scoping Study - scheduled for completion by the end of August 2013.
