Ongoing drilling continues to expand areas of near surface mineralization

Vancouver, Canada � Uracan Resources Ltd. (the �Company�) is pleased to announce that additional drilling at the TJ Zone and Middle Zone discoveries continues to identify significant widths of near surface uranium mineralization contained within multiple stacked zones. Ongoing drilling is intended to expand these zones further during the 2008 program. The TJ and Middle Zones occur within the main Double S trend.

The combined drill defined strike length of the three zones is now 3.9 km and remains open along strike in both directions. Management hopes to connect these zones with ongoing drilling during the remainder of the 2008 program.

The TJ Zone is three kilometers northwest of the Double S Zone, which hosts an NI 43-101 compliant inferred resource of 19.96 million pounds of uranium, and 1.4 kilometers northwest of the Middle Zone. Once all final assay results from the TJ Zone and Middle Zone have been received, Uracan plans to complete a revised resource estimate for the combined areas of mineralization. Please refer to the Uracan Resources Ltd. website www.uracan.ca for maps and drill holes outlining the locations of the various mineralized zones.

Mineralization in the Middle zone and TJ zone of the North Shore Property continues to occur in multiple stacked mineralized zones hosted by granites and pegmatites, with drilled widths and grades of up to 72.25 meters of 0.012% U3O8.

A total of 6,132 meters of drilling in 32 Diamond drill holes has been completed to date during the summer 2008 drilling campaign. Overall in 2008, a total of 18,324 meters in 91 drill holes has been completed. Further results for additional holes of the summer 2008 drilling are pending from the assay laboratory.

Middle Zone

Drilling activity completed on the Middle Zone, during the summer program, included 2,532 meters in 12 new Diamond drill holes and one drill hole (MZ-08-12) was extended to define mineralization in that hole. To date, 33 drill holes and 7,071.5 meters have been drilled this year on the Middle zone. Results from the 21 drill holes completed during the winter 2008 program were previously released.

Multiple mineralized zones were encountered in the summer drilling program, with up to 72.25 meters grading 0.012% U3O8 encountered in MZ-08-23, 70.3 meters grading 0.013% U3O8 encountered in MZ-08-31, and 60.8 meters of 0.013% U3O8 in MZ-08-27. Numerous discrete mineralized zones within each drill hole continue to be encountered in the Middle zone.

Detailed surface mapping and Diamond drilling is continuing in this area to better define the nature and extent of mineralization.

TJ Zone

A total of 3,600 meters of Diamond drilling in 19 holes has been completed on the TJ zone since the start of the summer drill program. This drilling is ongoing on the TJ zone, and to date, 26 drill holes and 5,000 meters have been drilled on the TJ zone. Results for the additional drill holes on TJ are pending.

Multiple mineralized zones were encountered in the summer drilling program, with up to 23.8 meters grading 0.010% U3O8 encountered in TJ-08-09 and 16.5 meters of 0.012% U3O8 in TJ-08-12. Similar to the Middle zone, numerous discrete mineralized zones within each drill hole continue to occur at the TJ zone.

Detailed surface mapping and Diamond drilling is continuing in this area to better define the nature and extent of mineralization.

Drill Results Summary

2008 Summer Exploration Program

The summer 2008 exploration program is proceeding with expected completion by late October. Diamond drilling is ongoing on a number of targets on the Turgeon Lake Intrusive Complex (TLIC), and reconnaissance mapping and sampling of numerous airborne radiometric anomalies are underway on other areas of the property which have received little or no previous exploration to outline additional drill targets. Assay results for the exploration program are pending.

QA/QC

Samples were shipped by company personnel in sealed containers to ALS Chemex Laboratories of Val D�Or, Quebec for analysis. ALS Chemex is the laboratory facility used for all assays from the North Shore Property program. Samples are weighed and catalogued before sample preparation. A QA/QC program was implemented as part of the sampling procedure for the drill program. Field duplicates and field blanks were inserted into the sample stream with at least one blank and one duplicate inserted per group of 40 samples sent to the laboratory.
