Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with unusual option activity on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Range Resources (RRC): Traders bought the April 60 calls early in the session for $0.25 to $0.30. The contracts more than tripled in value to $0.90 in less than two hours as the oil stock pushed higher. Volume now exceeded 2,800 contracts at the strike. RRC is up 4.61 percent to $60.41.
Oneok (OKE): Some 2,200 May 50 calls were bought, mostly for $1.50, as investors look for upside in the pipeline stock. OKE rose 3.33 percent to $50.84. It also saw bullish activity on March 30 .
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD): An investor bought 8,944 April 5 puts for $2.33 and sold 8,944 January 5 puts for $2.34. Volume was below open interest in the nearer-dated contracts, which suggests he or she rolled a short-put position forward in time to avoid being assigned shares at expiration this week. AMD rose 0.37 percent to $2.68.
