Oil firms to raise pump prices of petroleum products on Tuesday


Motorists will be greeted by an increase of more than P1 per liter in the prices diesel and gasoline ahead of the Holy Week break when many people usually travel out of town.

In separate advisories on Monday, Flying V, SEAOIL Philippines Inc., and Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., announcing an increase in pump prices of gasoline by P1.15 per liter and diesel by P1.10.

The oil companies are also raising the price of kerosene by P1.00 per liter.

Eastern Petroleum Corp., Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc., and PTT Philippines Corp. will also implement the same price adjustments, except kerosene.

According to the latest data from the Department of Energy (DOE), diesel prices in the country currently range from P35.95 to P42.40 and gasoline from P46.87 to P56.77.

The adjustments will take effect at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27.

Other oil companies have yet to announce price adjustments for the week. —Jon Viktor Cabuenas/VDS, GMA News
