Canada is currently one of the only countries on the Pacific Rim that has yet to develop its' high temperature geothermal energy resources and British Columbia, Yukon and Alberta have the largest conventional geothermal potential.  Initial resource estimates indicate that geothermal energy could meet half of British Columbia's electricity needs.
