Orsu is producing gold from its Varvarinskoye gold-copper project in Kazakhstan and has various other advanced stage gold projects in Central Asia. The company has a highly experienced management team that is committed to maximizing cash flow from the producing mine. That asset is intended as a basis for building a multi-mine mid-tier gold producer.

Since it commenced production in December 2007, the Varvarinskoye mine has produced 5.25 million pounds of copper and 26,368 ounces of gold. The plant has been ramping up throughput and operated at 79% of design capacity in August. Gold-copper concentrate is being shipped from Varvarinskoye. A second circuit in the mill will also produce gold on-site from a leaching circuit that will treat ore with low copper values. The project is designed to produce 140,000 ounces of gold and 25 million pounds of copper per year.
