We are pleased to inform you that Buck Morrow, the President of Northland, has been invited to present at Canaccord Adams' Iron Ore Company Conference in Toronto, Canada on Tuesday October 16th , and New York on Wednesday October 17th. The conference audience will be made up of invited institutional investors representing a broad cross section of generalist and resource-focused funds.

Mr Morrow will present an overview of key developments at Northland's Stora Sahavaara, Tapuli and Hannukainen iron ore projects in northern Sweden and Finland, and will outline Northland's plans to become a domestic European iron ore producer.

Along with the majority of the iron ore market commentators, Canaccord are quite bullish of the iron ore market for next few years. On their pre-conference invitation, they comment:

"Iron ore markets have tightened again. Imports into China are up another 20% in 2007. Spot prices into China have surged again through the summer, and consensus expectation is for contract prices to follow in 2008. The majors are investing to maintain market share, but with capital cost inflation supportive of higher long-term prices than in the past.
