President's Message to Shareholders

During 2006, East Asia Minerals Corporation positioned itself
exceptionally well for strong growth. The dedicated Management Team,
with the support of the Board of Directors, demonstrated its unique
experience and strength by building a strong asset base. This has
focused the Company and positioned it for advancement. During 2007 we
are planning to unlock the value inherent in the portfolio by
conducting technically sound and cost effective exploration programs.

Key acquisitions during 2006 were four large strategic uranium
tenements, known as the Ooshin Govi project, in a highly prospective
part of Mongolia. Ooshin Govi is adjacent to a tenement that has been
the subject of considerable work by uranium giant Areva, much of it
immediately adjacent to our property boundary. The Ooshin Govi
tenements therefore have, whilst they are largely unexplored,
demonstrable potential to contain a very large in situ leach amenable
uranium resource. The opportunistic addition of these critical assets
in a very tight competitive market is a prime example of the strength
and unique experience that the management team brings to the Company.
It clearly demonstrates our ability to secure key tenements that create
significant asset value for our shareholders.

In addition to acquiring these quality tenements we successfully
explored our existing uranium portfolio in Mongolia. In several cases
previously indicated mineralization has been confirmed and extended.
During the course of these programs the Company reported, from its
Enger project, some of the best uranium drill results to come out of
Mongolia in 2006. It also intersected significant mineralisation at
several of its other properties and demonstrated their potential as
quality uranium targets.

The acquisition of the high potential Ooshin Govi project and the
Company's successful first pass exploration of its other uranium
tenements, has resulted in a significant shift in the importance of the
uranium portfolio within the Company. The uranium tenements are now
clearly recognised as the key growth assets. Creating shareholder
value through focused exploration of these important assets is the
Company's priority for the coming year and beyond. This new strategy
has the full support of the Board of Directors and the Management Team.


Notwithstanding its focus on uranium assets, East Asia Minerals can
proudly announce that it has also secured several highly prospective
Indonesian gold-copper projects through its well placed local partners.
Competitor activity is growing and we are pleased to lead the pack back
into this land of giant gold-copper deposits. Your Management Team has
the competitive edge with extensive in-country experience and important
networks that have been carefully developed over the past decade. We
now control a significant land package containing partially drilled
porphyry and epithermal copper-gold projects with multi-million ounce
gold potential, as well as a large partially drilled porphyry
copper-molybdenum deposit.

We are excited that several of our new Indonesian projects are in Aceh
Province which has long been recognized for its exceptional economic
mineral potential. Despite its demonstrable potential to host world
class deposits Aceh is arguably the most under-explored part of the
Indonesian archipelago. The new Aceh constitution giving it
"semi-autonomous" status was ratified by the Central Government in
2006. Peaceful, free and fair elections have just been held electing
pro-development candidates. There is now a concerted effort to increase
investment into the Province where working conditions are now peaceful.
EAS is the recognized leading exploration company in Aceh. As early
entrants we believe we have a great opportunity in Aceh. We are now
well established in Indonesia and have a business unit that is able to
operate effectively with a high degree of autonomy.
The 2006 exploration program at our Khok Adar copper-silver oxide
project in western Mongolia was successful in improving our
understanding of the Khok Adar mineralization model. Detailed
exploration drilling at EC1 was completed and mineralization at East
Zone 1, EC2 and Baruun Bayan was extended, though significant tonnages
of high grade oxide copper, in addition to those defined at EC-1, were
not encountered. The exploration team however discovered five new
copper oxide targets in the original discovery area, and identified
five new copper targets during a regional mapping and sampling program.
These discoveries offer some blue-sky potential.
2007 will be focused on advancing exploration and new discovery on the
highly prospective properties we assembled in 2005 and 2006. Our
treasury remains strong with ample funds for the 2007 proposed work
plan and beyond.
East Asia Minerals Corporation remains committed to growth through
well-conceived and well-executed exploration programs and acquisition
