February 22, 2008 - Vancouver, BC - StrataGold Corporation (SGV-TSX) is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Mark Ayranto to VP, Corporate Development. Since joining the Company in January 2007 as Manager, Environment and Community Affairs and subsequently promoted to VP, Environment and Community Affairs, Mr. Ayranto has been a significant contributor to the StrataGold management team and to furthering the development of the Company's advanced exploration projects. 

Mr. Ayranto is a graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia (B.Sc. Marine Biology 1996) and Royal Roads University, British Columbia (MBA 2006). He is a Certified Management Consultant through the Canadian Association of Management Consultants, a Registered Professional Biologist with the College of Applied Biology of British Columbia and has senior management experience internationally and in Canada. During the past year Mr. Ayranto has worked diligently to further the Company and has demonstrated a proven capacity to fill the role of VP, Corporate Development. Mr. Ayranto will continue to be responsible for environment and community affairs.
