ATW Venture Corp. Provides Update on Drilling at Marifil's Amarillo Copper-Gold Project

Spokane, WA - May 28, 2007: MARIFIL MINES LTD. (MFM: TSX-V) ("Marifil" or the "Company") is pleased to note that ATW Venture Corp (ATW: TSX-V) ("ATW"), which is earning up to a 70% interest in on Marifil's Amarillo property in San Juan province, Argentina, has provided an update on the results of its recent drilling program on the property. (See Marifil press release of December 12, 2006.)

ATW reports that the drilling program on Amarillo has been "halted for the season due to the early onset of winter and an earlier than anticipated massive snow accumulation. While (ATW's) management is disappointed in the onset of winter, it remains excited about the results to date."

ATW also reports: "Two of the eight planned drill holes have been completed. One of the drill holes targeted a second potential porphyry target at the northern end of the property known as Poposa. The hole intersected silicified and kaolin-altered metasediments with stockwork veins. The veins contain massive pyrite with thin coatings of the copper mineral, chalcocite. This alteration indicates the possibility of underlying copper gold mineralization. A new drill hole has been planned at a more optimum orientation to target this potential mineralization. Results from the two drill holes will be available in early June.

The main porphyry target at the southern end of the property, known as Esperanza, remains untested and is considered one of the property's best prospects. It is expected that the Company will re-enter the property in October for continuation of this year's drilling program."

Marifil's Amarillo copper-gold project is located within the Veladero - El Indio gold belt in the Andes Mountains of northwestern Argentina. This gold belt is host to a number of large precious metal deposits including Barrick Gold Corporation's Veladero (12.6 million ounces of gold) and Pascua Llama (18.3 million ounces of gold) deposits (figures quoted are from Barrick's 2005 proven and probable reserve statement.) Marifil's property covers over 50 square kilometres of intensely altered sedimentary, volcanic and intrusive rocks that represent the upper levels of two or more large hydrothermal systems.
