Vancouver, B.C. - Tuesday, April 30, 2013: Boss Power Corp. (TSX.V: BPU) ("the Company") continues to work with the Province of British Columbia to finalize the settlement previously announced October 21, 2011 arising from the expropriation of the Blizzard Uranium Properties east of Kelowna. On October 21, 2011, the Province agreed to settle the Company's claims for compensation for $30,000,000 plus costs (the "Settlement Proceeds") upon return of the Blizzard Properties and certain peripheral properties (the "Peripheral Properties") for cancellation. As the Company and the Province worked towards finalizing the settlement, it became apparent that the Company would not be able to surrender all title to the Peripheral Properties which the Province required be surrendered in addition to the Blizzard Properties owned outright by the Company. This is the case because the Peripheral Properties are held in trust by the Company's subsidiary, Blizzard Uranium Corp., as part of the original acquisition of the surrounding tenures.

In order to facilitate the settlement with the Province, the Company has made reasonable commercial efforts to compensate the owner of the Peripheral Properties which are not known to host any proven mineral resource. Those negotiations have not been successful. In addition to the unresolved matter regarding these Peripheral Properties, certain parties have claimed an interest in the Settlement Proceeds (the "Claims"). The Company communicated its position on the Peripheral Properties and the Claims to the Province which agreed to apply for a Court order (the "Order") to have the Settlement Proceeds paid into Court pending a decision by the Court as to the entitlement, if any of the holders of the Peripheral Properties or the parties making the Claims to a portion of the Settlement Proceeds. The application by the Province for the Order is scheduled to be heard by the Court on June 28, 2013. A preliminary application by the Company for a declaration that all parties had consented to the Order was dismissed on April 19, 2013.

Only one of the parties making a Claim has commenced a lawsuit setting out the basis for its Claim. Sparton Resources Inc. ("Sparton") has named the Company and its subsidiary, Blizzard Uranium Corp., Anthem Resources Incorporated ("Anthem"), (formerly named Virginia Energy Resources Inc.) and the Province as defendants in its lawsuit over alleged obligations with respect to an agreement between Sparton and Anthem. The Company believes that the claim against it and its subsidiary is without merit and will vigorously defend it.

The Company has accounted for the Settlement Proceeds as a contingent gain and not recognized a gain in the Consolidated Statement of Operations Comprehensive Loss and Deficit. Correspondingly, nor has it recognized legal costs which the Company will be required to pay as the Company is not able to quantify these costs at this time.

The Company has referred to arbitration a dispute with respect to 2,000,000 shares of the Company which were placed into escrow following the failure of a vendor to deliver certain mineral claims to the Company. The arbitration was heard on April 22nd through April 25th, 2013. A further hearing is scheduled for June 5, 2013. The Company's position in the arbitration is that all of the 2,000,000 shares should be returned to the Company. The decision of the arbitrator is expected prior to the end of 2013.

The Company will seek new opportunities when the settlement with the Province is finalized.
