VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 23, 2011) - Africo Resources Ltd. (News - Market indicators) ("Africo") is pleased to announce that it has recommenced drilling at its Kalukundi property in the Katanga Province, DRC.

The initial programme of borehole drilling will focus on the Principal and Anticline Fragments of the property where the highest grades of copper and cobalt were encountered during our last exploration activities conducted in 2008 and 2009. An initial programme of 4,000 metres of drilling is planned as infill drilling to confirm continuity and grade of the currently defined geology and mineralization and to search for extensions of the known mineralization.

In addition, a programme of shallow drill holes is planned for the Kii and Kalukundi Fragments as soon as a smaller portable drilling rig can be secured. This drilling will be focused on defining the grade of the near surface mineralization on these two fragments with a view to commissioning a preliminary mining plan on the northeast extensions of each of these two fragments.

The Kalukundi project is located 60km to the east of the mining centre of Kolwezi within the Copperbelt of the DRC. Kalukundi is also located only 23km to the west of the major Tenke-Fungurume complex, which is currently in production for Freeport McMoRan Copper Gold Inc.
