OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 20, 2011) - Beaufield Resources Inc. (News - Market indicators) is pleased to report results from eight Diamond drill holes totalling 1499 metres from a 10,000 metre drill program at Tortigny, located on it's 100% owned Troilus property, 100 kilometres north of Chibougamau, Québec.

The current drilling program started in November 2010. To date 40 holes, totalling 9892 metres, have been completed. 11 holes (807 metres) were drilled before Christmas and the results from the first four holes (TO-10-20; TO-10-21; TO-10-22 and TO-10-24) were released in February 2011 (Press release February 4, 2011).

The eight holes, reported here, were drilled vertically, east of hole TO-10-24 (10.21% Zinc; 4.48% Copper; 0.37% Lead; 116.62 g/t Silver and 0.52 g/t gold over 13.00 metres) (reported February 4, 2011) to better define the "near surface" part of the deposit.

The current drilling suggests a deposit more complex than originally supposed, with new mineralized zones, or folded portions of known zones being located below the assumed bottom of the hinge. It should be noted that the mineralized in-hole sections reported here are not true width. The angle between the drilled hole and the mineralized zone varies from one hole to another depending on the steepness of the mineralized zone.

Hole TO-10-23 was drilled vertically, 25 metres east of TO-10-24 and intersected three distinct mineralized zones. (Refer to Table 1)

Hole TO-10-26 drilled vertically, 15 metres east of TO-10-25, intersected a major, sub-vertical fault. All the field evidences indicate that this fault limits the deposit to the south. TO-10-26 intersected three distinct mineralized zones shown in table 3.

Hole TO-10-28 drilled vertically, 7 metres north of TO-10-25 intersected seven distinct mineralized zones as shown in Table 5. TO-10-25 and TO-10-28 indicate the heterogeneity of the mineralized body over a short distance and support the necessity of closely spaced holes.

Hole TO-10-31 drilled vertically, 5 metres north of TO-10-26, directed toward the hinge of the folded mineralized zone, intersected five distinct mineralized zones, as shown in Table 7. At 128 metres the hole intersected a major fault, presumably the same one intersected in hole TO-10-26.

The Tortigny deposit is located inside a fold. The fold is open westward and TO-10-30, located 25 metres east of TO-10-27, was drilled east of the hinge of the fold. The geology outside the fold is different from the geology hosting the deposit. TO-10-30 intercepts only a 1.15 meter thick calcite vein assaying 1.61% lead and 0.15% zinc.

The VMS deposits are important sources of base and precious metals. Strong partitioning into massive sphalerite in these deposits make them the major sources of indium and a secondary source of gallium from residues of zinc smelting. Beaufield assayed five samples from three separate holes at Tortigny. ALS Assay Laboratories used the ICP ME-MS61 technique to test for these metals.

Beaufield will need to undertake more assays for these metals and consult with appropriate experts to determine if these values have any significance.

Once the entire drill program has been completed, results compiled and inserted into a model, and a planned NI 43-101 resource calculation prepared, then Beaufield expects to be in a position to report preliminary size, tonnage and grade.

The 100% owned Tortigny and the Moleon area represent a very high priority environment for base metal exploration. An induced polarization survey was completed over airborne MEGATEM electromagnetic in February 2011. The Diamond drill is still on site, presently drilling at Tortigny, and will be ready to drill test new interesting geophysical targets in the following weeks.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Core processing included descriptive logging and systematic sampling for analysis. The drill core samples were completely cut in half, with one half delivered to a commercial laboratory and the other half retained for future reference. Duplicates, blanks and standards were inserted into the sample sequence. Gold assays were performed at ALS CHEMEX Laboratories in Val d'Or, Quebec. The processed samples were submitted to a standard Fire Assay with AA technique (Au-AA-23) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission Spectroscopy (ME-ICP-41) on a 30 gram sub-sample.

David Frappier-Rivard, P.Geo., Exploration Manager is the Qualified Person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101 and supervised both the project field and the preparation of the technical information in this release.
