      Strongbow Reports Drilling Is Underway At Parker Gold Mine
      Property, North Carolina

Strongbow Exploration Inc. (SBW: TSXV) is pleased to announce that
exploration drilling is underway at the Company's Parker gold mine
property, North Carolina. The 1,200 m drilling program is intended to
test two target areas within the property as follow up to bedrock
mapping, ground magnetic and geochemical surveys completed in April and
May, 2011.

Gold mineralization within the property is hosted within a series of
northeast and northwest striking quartz veins. Historic production,
estimated at approximately 10,000 ounces gold, consisted primarily of
hydraulic mining of saprolitic overburden surrounding these veins, as
well as a limited amount of underground tunnelling. (Please see
Strongbow news release #11-04 dated March 15, 2011 for more details).
Prospecting samples of vein material collected by Strongbow from near
the historic workings have returned from background values up to 7.3
g/t gold. Drilling will test these veins, as well as silicified and
sericite altered volcanic and sedimentary host rocks.

The Crystal Hill target, located 600 metres along strike from the
historic Parker mine workings, will also be tested during the program.
Geochemical sampling in the Crystal Hill area has defined a 200 m by
100 m multi-element geochemical anomaly coincident with altered
andesitic volcanic rocks that are anomalous in arsenic and other
pathfinder elements.

About the Parker gold mine Property

The Parker gold mine is located within the Gold Hill mining district of
the Carolina Slate Belt, approximately 30 km south of the Champion
Hills trend currently being explored by Revolution Resources (RV:TSX)
and Romarco Minerals (R:TSX). Gold Hill is the most productive gold
producing region of North Carolina with estimated past production of at
least 160,000 ounces. The Parker mine property is zoned for heavy
industrial use including a mining permit issued by the North Carolina
Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

About Strongbow Exploration Inc.

Strongbow is exploring for gold deposits within the Carolina Slate Belt
of the southeastern United States, as well as magmatic nickel-copper
sulphide deposits along the Snowbird Tectonic Zone in central Canada.
Strongbow's management and board of directors have a proven track

Geochemical samples were submitted to Acme Analytical Laboratories in
Vancouver, British Columbia.  They were analyzed using either a 36 or
53 element ICP mass spectrometer package, using either a 0.5 gram or 15
gram sample size and an aqua regia digestion.  For all rock samples, a
quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) program is in place, with the
insertion of standard, blank and field duplicate samples into the
sample stream to confirm the accuracy of the reported results.  Rock
samples were analyzed using a 36 element mass spectrometer package and
a 15 gram sample size; those rocks returning >100 ppb gold are
re-evaluated using a 30 gram fire assay analysis with a gravimetric
finish.

Strongbow's 2011 exploration programs are conducted under the
supervision of David Gale, P.Geo. (BC), Vice-President of Exploration
for Strongbow and a qualified person under NI 43-101.
