On Friday, September 9, 2011 at approximately 7 pm, a press release entitled "Standard & Poor's Announces the Annual Review of the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index" was placed in error on Crocodile Gold's website. Automatic email notification was sent to all subscribers.
This press release was not issued by Crocodile Gold. Crocodile Gold uses software from Q4 Web Systems to automatically acquire press releases from the newswire services and adds them to the website. A mistake in coding by the news syndication process caused it to appear that the press release originated from Crocodile Gold and led to its automatic placement on the website.
When Q4 became aware that this press release had been placed in error on our client's website, we immediately took steps to remove the press release. This has been our standard procedure. As a result, links to the press release included in the email notification no longer work. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused if you attempted to view the press release.
