Santa Rosa Update and Results of the AGM
======================================================================
Silver Quest Resources Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to report
positive exploration results from the Santa Rosa property as well as
results from the recent Annual General Meeting ("AGM") held June 28,
2007.
Santa Rosa Exploration Results:
At the Santa Rosa property, located approximately 175 kilometres east
of Hermosillo, in the state of Sonora, Mexico, the Company recently
completed an exploration program of geological mapping, prospecting,
road construction for future drilling, and an initial reverse
circulation (RC) drilling program comprising 624.8 metres in six holes.
Two holes targeted, and successfully established a suitable water
source, while the remaining four holes represented a series of short
angled exploration holes to test the extent of mineralization from the
valley floor. The RC drilling was completed by Layne de Mexico S.A. de
C.V, based in Hermosillo. Highlights of the recent program include:
- New silver-lead showing. Previous sampling on the Santa Rosa property
had focused on a low, southeast trending ridge 1.2 kilometres in
length. Road construction to gain access to the upper portions of this
ridge uncovered a subcrop of massive galena. A grab sample of this
subcrop assayed 358 grams per tonne silver and 69.7 per cent lead. This
grab sample is located approximately 130 to 175 metres horizontally and
70 metres vertically, from previous samples taken near the base of the
ridge (see Press Release March 29, 2007). This new showing was ripped
by the bulldozer during road construction, and is interpreted to
represent upward continuation of the silver-lead mineralization through
the siliceous jasperoid cap rock that underlies the upper portion of
the ridge.

Hole SR-07-02 was the northern most, angled (-50 S) hole, which
encountered heavy water flow at 54.9 metres and was terminated Hole
SR07-03 was located 225 metres SE of SR07-02, and was an angled hole
(-50 SW) to a depth of 121.9 metres. Hole SR07-04 was located 50
meters SE of hole SR07-03 and was an angled hole (-50 S) to a depth of
97.5 metres. Hole SR07-05 is the southern-most hole, located 192 metres
SSE of hole SR07-04, angled hole (-50 W) and was drilled to a depth of
121.9 metres.
- Previous sampling (March 29, 2007) of eighteen chip samples returned
a weighted average of 186.1 grams per tonne silver (range from 2.2
grams per tonne to 1760 grams per tonne silver); 2.66 per cent lead
(range from 0.02 % to 20.10 % Pb), an average of 0.43 per cent zinc
(range from 0.01 % to 6.20 % Zn), and an average of 0.225 per cent
copper (range from 0.003 per cent to 1.100 % Cu).
The Santa Rosa property represents an early stage exploration project
with the potential to host bulk-tonnage silver-lead mineralization.
Sulphide mineralization, including galena, tetrahedrite and minor
pyrite, together with barite, occurs in a carbonate breccia unit within
interbedded sedimentary and volcanic (andesite) units. Drill access
roads have recently been constructed on the upper portion of the
southeast trending ridge, allowing for drill holes to test the entire
known vertical extent of the mineralization uncovered to date. The
Company will initiate a Phase 1 reverse circulation (RC) drill program
with a "track or buggy" mounted machine as soon as a machine is
available.
This recent program has returned encouraging indications of widespread
silver, lead, zinc and copper mineralization. Additional exploration is
required to determine the extent of the mineralization as sampling to
date has not systematically tested the target areas.
Sample preparation was completed by ALS Chemex in Hermosillo, Sonora,
with analysis completed by ALS Chemex in Vancouver. Mr. Tom Evans (P.
Geo-California) conducted the recent Santa Rosa exploration program.
Mr. Weicker, PGeo, is the qualified person, as defined by National
Instrument 43-101, for the Santa Rosa project, and supervised the
preparation of the technical information in this release, visited the
site during the drilling, and verified the scientific and technical
information and opinions contained herein by reviewing the underlying
data.
AGM Results
The following matters were approved at the meeting held June 28, 2007,
as set out in the Company's information circular:
- Robert Weicker, Lindsay Bottomer, Randy Turner, John McDonald, and
Mark Morabito were elected as directors of the Company.
- Davidson and Company LLP were reappointed the auditor of the Company.
- The audited consolidated financial statements for the fiscal year
February 28, 2007 were approved.
- Ratification of the Company's stock option plan, providing for a
rolling maximum of 10-per-cent of the Company's shares at the time of
the grant.
The Company would like to take this opportunity to thank Bob Watts, who
did not stand for re-election at the Company's annual general meeting,
for his contribution to the board since 2003. Bob will remain an
advisor and continue to assist the Company.
