NEW DIRECTORS ELECTED AT ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
At Electra Gold Ltd.'s recent annual meeting held on June 25, 2009, Mark Tommasi and Antony Claydon were elected directors of the company. Both Mr. Tommasi and Mr. Claydon have extensive experience running the affairs of public companies and have been instrumental in completing substantial public financings. Electra would like to welcome them both to the board.
A total of 77 shareholders were present in person or by proxy representing about 32.16 per cent of the outstanding shares.
Lana Eagle and Marcia Stelling have resigned as directors of the company. Ms. Stelling has been a director since 1987 and Ms. Eagle since 2006. Their contribution to the company over the years is greatly appreciated by all. Peter Arendt, PEng, mining engineer and company executive, Tom Nelson, chief of the Quatsino First Nation, and Jo Shearer, MSc, PGeo, geologist and president of Electra were re-elected as directors.
