ROUYN-NORANDA, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 1, 2011) - Radisson Mining Resources Inc. (News - Market indicators) is pleased to announce initial results from the first five holes of a 10 hole exploration drill program on its O'Brien-Kewagama project.
Highlights include the discovery of high-grade as well as near surface gold mineralization.

Assaying was carried out by Techni-Lab SGB Abitibi and was performed using fire assay with an atomic absorption finish. Metallic sieve was used on re assays of high grade.
The initial holes were drilled over a strike length of 820 meters to test for shallow gold mineralization. Gold was discovered in the volcanic and porphyry rocks of the Cadillac Break and in quartz vein structures in the sediments. All holes were drilled to the north to cross the Cadillac Break.
The wholly owned O'Brien-Kewagama project is located in the Malartic/Cadillac mining camp and consists of 36 claims (729 hectares) . The prolific Cadillac Break traverses the entire center of the property over a length of some 3 kilometers. The property is located on strike approximately 5000 meters west of the LAPA GOLD MINE (Agnico-Eagle) and approximately 4000 meters south east of Agnico's Laronde Mine.
The past producing O'Brien Gold Mine, located on the western portion of the property produced over 590 000 ounces of gold (grade of 15.2 g/t) from 1933-1956 and reached a depth of 3450 feet.
Previous exploration by Radisson resulted in the discovery of 218540 ounces of gold (NI 43-101, Scott-Wilson, Roscoe Postle report 2007) from zone 36, located in the approximate center of the property.
The present drilling was carried out on the eastern portion of the project.
