VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Silver Wheaton Corp. (T.SLW) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $56.2 million (65.4 million CAD).
On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had profit of 15 cents.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 17 cents per share.
The precious metals streaming company posted revenue of $151.7 million (176.3 million CAD) in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $215.9 million, or 60 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $670.1 million.
Silver Wheaton shares have risen 1 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 15 percent in the last 12 months.
