Thanks to Visa, Every Team USA Medal Won at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Could Mean More FlexPoints for New U.S. Bank FlexPerks® Travel Rewards Visa® Cardmembers.

http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20160801005497/en/

In the spirit of the Olympic Games, new FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Signature and FlexPerks Business Edge Travel Rewards Visa Cardmembers who apply during the promotion and get approved can earn bonus FlexPoints based on the number of medals that Team USA takes home from the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

New FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Cardmembers will earn 200 FlexPoints for every Gold Medal, 100 FlexPoints for every Silver Medal, and 50 FlexPoints for every Bronze Medal that Team USA wins during the Olympic Games. Plus, all bonus FlexPoints earned are in addition to the 20,000 Enrollment Bonus FlexPoints Cardmembers receive when they spend $2,000 within the first four months after their account is opened.

Celebrating its 30th year of sponsorship of the Olympics, Visa is the exclusive payment services provider for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games and will implement 4,000 NFC-enabled POS terminals capable of accepting mobile and wearable payments across key Olympic venues, the USOC's USA House and Copacabana Megastore. Visa is the only card accepted at Olympic Games venues through 2020, which includes the PyeongChang 2018 and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

'Thanks to Visa, we are excited to offer this opportunity to new FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Cardmembers and help them catch the Olympic spirit,' said Cliff Cook, senior vice president for the U.S. Bank retail credit-card division. 'This promotion will encourage our new FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Cardmembers to share in the achievement of United States Olympians and bring them closer to The Olympics.'

This offer is subject to credit approval. FlexPoints will be awarded as long as one purchase is posted to the Account Owner's individual account by Sept 30, 2016. This promotion is not available for existing and previous FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa accounts.
