Vancouver, Canada - Tinka Resources Limited ('Tinka' or the 'Company') (TSXV: TK) (OTCPK: TKRFF) is pleased to announce that at the Company's Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders held on April 21, 2016 (the 'AGM'), Messrs. Graham Carman, Nick DeMare, David Henstridge, Ms. Yanina Barila and Ms. Mary Little were elected to serve as directors of the Company for the ensuing year. In addition, the following matters were approved at the AGM:

1. The ratification of the Company's 10% rolling stock option plan;
2. The appointment of D+H Group LLP, Chartered Accountants, as the auditors of the Company for the ensuing year and the authorization for the directors of the Company to fix their remuneration;
3. The creation of a new control person of the Company as more particularly described in the Company's Information Circular dated March 17, 2016 (the 'Information Circular'); and
4. The adoption of a new form of articles of the Company to ensure consistency with the provisions of the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia) and to facilitate the administration of the Company's affairs and reduce the overhead and administrative costs related to certain matters all as more particularly described in the Information Circular.

Subsequent to the AGM, the board of directors appointed Mr. Carman as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. DeMare as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Alvaro Fernandez-Baca as Vice President of Exploration and Ms. Mariana Bermudez as Corporate Secretary. Messrs. DeMare and Henstridge and Ms. Little have been appointed as members of the Audit Committee.
