AngloGold Ashanti to Report Consolidated Financials in US dollars only
AngloGold Ashanti will report its consolidated financial results in US dollars only, as of the May 10 presentation of its unaudited results for the first quarter of 2012. This change more closely aligns AngloGold Ashanti's external reporting with the increasingly global character of its portfolio (63% of Group's attributable gold production originated outside South Africa in 2011), reporting by its peer group of international gold producers and its investor presentations.
In order to smooth the transition for those that currently maintain financial models in South African rand only, a supplementary spreadsheet with rand-denominated financial results for the first quarter 2012 will be provided on the company's Web site (www.anglogoldashanti.com).
