JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Two miners are missing after a fall-of-ground incident at Impala Platinum’s (Implats') Rustenburg 1 shaft on Tuesday morning.

A rescue operation was under way to locate the missing employees.

All other employees were safely evacuated.

“The full extent and cause of the rock fall has not yet been established as the priority and focus remains the search and rescue operation,” Implats said.
