Orko Silver Corp. (TSX-V:OK) is an exciting silver play that holds more than 32,000 hectares of mineral concessions on the Mesa Central, east of the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains, in the heart of the Mexican silver trend.

The company, which recently announced an increased mineral resource estimate for its La Preciosa silver project in Mexico, says that now a whopping 95 per cent of material is accessible by open pit mining methods, which will no doubt reduce overall mining costs.

The silver explorer, with 110 million open pit, silver equivalent ounces in the indicated category, has already signed confidentiality agreements for a potential sale or joint venture with eight companies that are now conducting due diligence.

The updated mineral resource estimate for its La Preciosa silver project in Durango, Mexico resulted in a 124-per-cent increase in the size of the open pit indicated resource and a 535-per-cent rise for the open pit inferred resource, making it the largest pure silver project in Mexico, according to MiningPlus, which executed the resource report.
